A Waterproof Bond for Every Tile Application

SUPAFIX (Gold – Diamond – Platinum) is a unique polymer modified cementitious formulation providing excellent adhesive properties combined with waterproofing — making it the ideal choice for fixing ceramic, vitrified, terrazzo, quartz, marble, granite, stone cladding and mosaic tiles on interior and exterior walls and floors of wet areas.

Manufactured under technical collaboration with Imper Oriente – USA, all three grades share the same premium base formulation. Choose Gold or Diamond for ceramic and vitrified tile applications at 3–6 mm bed thickness, or Platinum for demanding heavy-duty applications including marble, granite and mosaic tiles at 2–3 mm bed thickness.

Application Guide

How to Apply

Follow these three steps to achieve a professional, permanent waterproof tile bond every time.

Surface Preparation

The surface must be clean, sound and free from dirt, dust, grease and oil. Fill all crevices and holes and level the substrate. For best results, lightly damp down the surface — but not the tiles. During application the surface must be free from rising dampness and other hydrostatic pressures.

Mixing

Mix SUPAFIX with water at the ratio of 5–6 litres of water per 20 kg of powder to get a uniform, lump-free consistency. Leave the mass for 5–10 minutes to complete chemical reactions, then remix briefly. Use a forced action mixer for best results. Hand mixing is recommended for small quantities only. Do not add extra water after the rest period.

Application

Apply SUPAFIX to a uniform thickness of 3–6 mm (Gold/Diamond) or 2–3 mm (Platinum) on an area no more than 1 m² at a time. For horizontal and heavy duty vertical applications, a solid fixing bed is recommended. For other vertical applications, use a notched trowel to comb horizontally. Apply the tile, press and set carefully so the mortar spreads evenly. Fill tile joints with Supagrout TL 24 hours after fixing.

Forced Action Mixer: For best results always use a forced action mixer. Leave mixed material to rest for 5–10 minutes before application to allow all chemical reactions to complete. Hand mixing is only recommended for very small quantities.

Safe Handling

Health, Safety & Storage

As with all construction chemical products, caution should always be exercised during handling and application of SUPAFIX.

Protective Equipment

Wear appropriate protective clothing including gloves and goggles when mixing and applying SUPAFIX to avoid skin and eye contact with the cementitious material.

Splash Treatment

Treat any splashes to skin or eyes immediately with fresh water. Seek medical assistance if irritation continues after thorough flushing with clean water.

Accidental Ingestion

If any SUPAFIX product is accidentally swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call for medical assistance immediately and inform them of the product involved.

Storage Conditions

Store under cover, out of direct sunlight, away from extreme temperatures. In tropical climates, store in an air-conditioned environment. Shelf life: 12 months.

Tool Cleaning: Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use, before the material sets. Do not use solvents to clean cementitious adhesive residue.

Shelf Life: Up to 12 months when stored as per recommendations in the original sealed packaging — out of direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
